About Me

Let's Get Acquainted

Hi there! My name is Rebeccah Stevens, and I am originally from Suffern, NY but currently live on the West Side of Buffalo with my husband and two dogs. We live in a very diverse neighborhood--one of the reasons I love the city of Buffalo. I am an Ob/Gyn Resident Physician at the University at Buffalo. I love taking care of women and believe that women truly are all queens.  Despite my degree in English, I ended up choosing between a career in ministry or medicine and stumbled my way into the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

I  have discovered that the field of medicine is very one-dimensional (if you know any doctors, you know how much the details of their job consumes them). This blog is a way to talk beyond the details of labs and ultrasounds and to share the perspective of a young doctor on medicine, spirituality, and day-to-day life. I hope to create a space where we can discourse. Turns out, you do a lot of writing in medicine but none of it is fun, so I need this; thanks for joining!
